Parisian Circus Soiree

the inspiration:

the French influence in New Orleans served as the inspiration for the whimsy and eccentricity of an early 1900's Parisian circus. elegance, jeweled antiques, and vintage Barnum & Bailey were the major influences. glamour, opulence and fun was the goal!

the creation:

playing off of the baby 'shower', vintage umbrellas and Parisian parasols hovered over tables with strings of dripping crystals. a photo-op of a vintage ferris wheel with the Eiffel tower was set up as well as a dessert table resembling a true Parisian patisserie with a comical baker serving sweets. a stilt walker greeted guests at the door. a mixologist served sweet tea and strawberry drinks with pink flags that said 'baby love, ooh my baby love'
